📘 Product Description
Nickel Alloy 800 Tube

As typical of most nickel-chromium alloys, Incoloy 800 has excellent mechanical properties and their corrosion resistance properties surpass many stainless steel alloys. These components are produced in accordance with ASTM B163, making them ideal for use in heat exchangers and condensers. The high content of nickel present in the Alloy 800 Tube makes it resilient to becoming brittle due to the precipitation of sigma phase.

At high temperature and pressure, conventional steel alloys are subject to failure. However, W. Nr. 1.4876 Tubes maintain toughness and ductility. The Incoloy 800 Seamless Tube is a unique addition to industries like steam power plants or chemical processing plants. While the strength and pressure bearing capacity of a seamless type is higher, welded types offer a more cost-effective solution for less demanding environments.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the primary advantages of Incoloy 800 Tubing?
Incoloy 800 offers excellent mechanical properties and superior corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures compared to standard stainless steels. It is particularly resistant to oxidation and carburization.
2. Which industries commonly use Alloy 800 tubes?
They are widely used in chemical and petrochemical processing, steam power plants, heat exchangers, condensers, and nuclear service due to their high-temperature stability.
3. What is the difference between Seamless and Welded Incoloy 800 tubes?
Seamless tubes are designed for high-pressure and highly corrosive/flammable environments, offering higher strength. Welded tubes are more economical and suitable for less critical applications.
4. What is the maximum operating temperature for ASTM B163 UNS N08800?
These tubes are suitable for use in high-temperature environments up to approximately 1500°F (816°C).
5. Do you provide custom surface finishes?
Yes, options include annealed and pickled, bright annealed, polished, or various polymer/epoxy coatings for heat exchanger linings.
6. What testing standards are followed during production?
All products undergo rigorous testing including PMI, Ultrasonic Testing, Radiography (on request), and are supplied with Mill Test Certificates according to EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2.
